“Keeping your body healthy is an expression of gratitude to the whole cosmos — the trees, the clouds, everything.”

– Thich Nhat Hanh.

What is Naturopathic Nutrition?

Naturopathic nutrition works to support the body’s natural impulse toward health. By encouraging gentle detoxification, improving nutritional status, and implementing lifestyle shifts, this approach helps remove obstacles that may be blocking the body’s innate drive to heal and restore balance.

At its heart is a simple principle: health is the body’s natural state. As practitioners, our role is to identify what’s standing in the way of that natural flow and to support the body in finding its way back to vitality.

I work from a cellular model of health, recognising that wellbeing begins at the smallest level. When our cells are nourished and supported, the whole body benefits. This includes paying attention to the five key pillars of cellular health: hydration, healthy fats, energy, cleansing, and nutrition.

Focusing on these foundations uncovers the root causes of imbalance rather than just addressing symptoms. Together, we’ll explore the factors influencing your health and wellbeing, helping you develop a deeper connection with your body and a clearer understanding of what true wellness means for you.

Why work with a Nutritionist?

  • Digestive issues: IBS, constipation, Crohn’s disease, coeliac disease, leaky gut, SIBO, or parasite infections.

  • Hormonal imbalances: PMS, fertility challenges, painful or absent periods, PCOS, endometriosis, erectile dysfunction, metabolic syndrome, prediabetes, or thyroid conditions.

  • Skin concerns: eczema, psoriasis, acne, fungal infections, or rashes.

  • Immune system issues: autoimmune conditions, recurrent infections, allergies, or post-viral fatigue.

  • Chronic conditions: cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. NB: while nutritional guidance can support general wellbeing for these conditions your medical practitioner is responsible for treating these with you.

  • Other symptoms: joint pain, brain fog, mood disturbances, sleep difficulties, food sensitivities, headaches, migraines, or gum and dental problems.

Food is one of the most fundamental influences on our health and wellbeing. While everyone can benefit from a deeper understanding of how nutrition supports the body, many people seek a nutritionist because they are experiencing symptoms that affect their daily lives, such as:

Working with nutrition is not about quick fixes or “magic pills.” Just as it took time for your body to develop symptoms, it also takes time, patience, and consistent support to restore balance. The good news is that nutrition is a powerful tool and it’s something you have influence over every day.

With the right guidance, you can learn to understand the signals your body is sending, discover what it truly needs to thrive, and build a more trusting and enjoyable relationship with food and your health.

What to expect.

  • What to do – tailored guidance for your unique health picture. This may involve dietary adjustments, hydration support, opening detox pathways, nervous system regulation, or lifestyle changes such as sleep and movement practices.

  • Why to do it – understanding how each recommendation supports your body, so you feel confident and motivated in making changes.

  • When to do it – exploring the right timing, making sure the progression of healing builds on itself and making adjustments gradually and intentionally can be key to lasting results.

  • How to do it – simple tools, techniques, and recipes to help you integrate changes into daily life with ease.

During our work together, we’ll focus on practical, personalised steps to support your health and wellbeing. This includes:

I don’t “heal” you from your health challenges, but the good news is that you have the power to do that! My role is to create a safe, supportive, and knowledgeable space where we can explore the path that feels right for you. The approach must feel realistic, sustainable, and nourishing because healing works best when it’s possible to truly weave into your life.

Alongside nutrition, I may also draw on additional practices such as Systematic Kinesiology, Menstruality mentoring, and threshold crossing invitations if we both feel they will be supportive for your journey. Together, combining my knowledge of what supports the body with your lived experience of what feels right for you, we’ll find ways to restore balance and guide you toward greater health and vitality.

The benefits of working with a nutritionist.

Changing the way we eat and care for ourselves can feel daunting, especially when we’re already tired, stressed, or unwell. Working with a nutritionist means you don’t have to face those changes alone. When you work with me, you’ll have someone by your side who understands both the science of nutrition and the reality of daily life. Together, we’ll explore what your body truly needs to find balance, energy, and ease in a way that feels manageable and nourishing rather than restrictive.

Perhaps most importantly, you’ll feel held and supported throughout the process. I provide a safe, compassionate space where you can share openly, take each step at your own pace, and celebrate your progress along the way. Good health is about having the right support and guidance to make changes that last rather than doing everything ‘perfectly’. Together, we’ll create a pathway that helps you feel stronger, more grounded, and more yourself.

Clients often notice benefits such as:

  • Improved digestion and more comfortable energy levels.

  • Better sleep and a clearer, calmer mind.

  • Healthier skin, balanced hormones, and greater resilience.

  • A renewed sense of connection with their body and confidence in their food choices.
